IJC Lake of the Woods and Rainy River Watershed Task Force
In letters dated June 17, 2010, the Governments of Canada and the United States asked the International Joint Commission (IJC) to examine and make recommendations regarding the bi-national management of the Lake of the Woods and Rainy River system and the IJC's potential role in this management. The IJC has established a Task Force to assist it in this endeavour. The public is invited to meet the members of the Task Force and provide comments on bi-national management of the basin and any other matters that the Task Force should consider. The public consultations will be held at the following times and locations:
1) Tuesday, August 31, 7:00 pm - AmericInn, International Falls, MN
2) Wednesday, September 1, 7:00 pm - Best Western Lakeside Inn, Kenora, ON
3) Thursday, September 2, 7:00 pm - Warroad Area Community Center, Warroad, MN
